The art of any great office...

Something else that makes us different and unique in Luxembourg is that we also host and support contemporary artists by exhibiting their art here at b.u.r.o.s.

From time to time we host evening events where you can meet some of the artists, admire and browse the current display which includes glassware, pottery, jewellery and other crafts.

And of course, if something takes your fancy...

Our next Art event is on Thursday 9th November 6pm - 9pm

More details coming soon

Past Events

Here is what the papers had to say!

On Tuesday evening, b.u.r.o.s opened its doors once again for its regular Art in b.u.r.o.s event, this time to launch its Winter Lights Collection.

A total of eighteen artists from Luxembourg and the Greater Region were exhibiting their wares which ranged from paintings, jewellery, pottery, glassware, photography and graphic design, with no less than five being first-time exhibitiors at this event which attracted around 120 people yesterday evening.

With a well-stocked bar managed very efficiently, and savouries and sweet finger-food on constant supply, those attending were able to browse the various collections in a very relaxed and social atmosphere.

The Winter Lights art collection was put together by art-lover Janice Allgrove and will be on display for purchase for the next two weeks.

On the evening of Tuesday 7th October, we held our Autum Art in b.u.r.o.s event.

What a great evening it was!

On the evening of Thursday 22nd May 2014, we hosted an Art Event at b.u.r.o.s.

In addition to the new Spring Art Collection  from local artists, the evening featured a Charity Art Auction in aid of Special Olympics Luxembourg.

Natasha Liati-Jones introduced the event and Marc Feltgen of Special Olympics Luxembourg outlined the wordwide organisation which has 500 athletes in Luxembourg with intellectual disabilities and who participate in ten different sports, of which three are winter sports.

The auction item (shown above) was a piece of art created by Joëlle Daubenfeld during the Opening Ceremony of the EuroTennis international competiton at the National Tennis Centre in Esch-sur-Alzette in November 2013, and signed by Claudine Schaul, Anne Kremer and Gilles Muller, all professional tennis players from Luxembourg.

Our conference room was standing room only in anticipation as the winner of the blind auction was revealed: Jana Frnkova, who bid €299 for the artwork.

10% of all sales of other art sold on the night was also donated to Special Olympics Luxembourg.

Thank you also to Edith Van den Heuvel our singer and to Lene Pederson of  Lenelife  showcasing her wheat, gluten and lactose free food.
